Invitation to Participate
Dear Colleagues,
I would like to invite you to join me in St. Louis for the ASGT 8th Annual Meeting, taking place June 1-5, 2005. The ASGT committees have been working vigorously on a spectacular program. Here are some reasons why I feel that you will find St. Louis an excellent location for the ASGT 8th Annual Meeting:
- St. Louis is easily accessible from both coasts as 1,000 flights per day currently fly in and out of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. St. Louis is the hub for American Airlines and most flights from the major coast cities are under three hours, making the trip both quick and affordable.
- Reduced registration rates make the meeting affordable for Active and Associate Members. Principal Investigators should encourage their postdocs to attend, as the meeting provides a wonderful opportunity to present abstracts, to learn about new scientific developments, and to network for the next stage of career development.
- This year’s meeting will feature sessions on:
- Clinical trials
- Oligonucleotide Based Therapies and RNAi
- Pre-Clinical and Translational Issues
- Vaccines
- Stem cells
- Integration and Insertional Mutagenesis
- Immune Responses to Vector and to Transgene Products
- The America’s Center features WiFi connection throughout, as do all the hotels in the ASGT room block; stay easily connected while avoiding long waits for the internet.
- Rooms in the ASGT hotel block are between $119-165 a night, making this one of the most affordable meetings of the year. This is another great reason to send your students and postdocs.
Please register for the 8th Annual Meeting today at www.asgt.org. I look forward to seeing you in St. Louis for what is going to be an exciting meeting.
Sincerely,

Katherine A. High, MD
President, ASGT
