Two postdoctoral positions in molecular and gene therapy of retinal diseases are available through funding from National Institute of Health (NIH/NEI), Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), and The Foundation Fighting Blindness. Current projects include investigating the mechanism of photoreceptor death and gene therapy applications in animal models of ocular diseases. Techniques include electrophysiology, light/electron microscopy, protein chemistry, cloning and transgene construction, promoter bashing, yeast one/two hybrid system, and vector engineering with non-viral compacted DNA nanoparticles. Please submit CV, statement of research interests and accomplishments, and three references.
