Applying for Membership

Requirements

Individuals who have manifested an interest in any discipline important to gene therapy, as evidenced by work in the field, are eligible to join ASGT.

The Society does not discriminate in membership on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex or disability.

Membership in the Society is a privilege, not a right, and is dependent on the applicant adequately demonstrating compliance with the requirements for membership as defined in these Bylaws and otherwise by the Board of Directors of the Society.

Membership is contingent on the timely payment of ASGT membership dues.

Process

Applicants must submit an application to the Society which is then reviewed by the Membership Committee. Applicants approved by the Membership Committee for membership shall be recommended for membership to the Board of Directors. The Applicant will become a member thirty days after the Membership Committee submits such membership recommendation to the Board of Directors unless the Board of Directors disapproves the application.
