ASGT Statement: FDA Advisory Committee Meeting

Today's advisory committee meeting was exactly the right way to deal with the report of the serious adverse event in the Dr. Fischer trial in Paris. There were open discussions and frank exchanges between the public and some of the top gene therapy researches in the world.

The committees recommendations to the FDA are well reasoned and correct in balancing the risk and benefits to patients concerning a very dangerous and deadly disease.
